General Information

Keats Cottage is an authentic historic building with stairs to all rooms and so is not suitable for some disabled people or persons who have difficulty negotiating stairs. If you have concerns please enquire before booking.

• We do not cater for children under the age of 14yrs.
• We are totally non smoking throughout, this includes all guest rooms.
• Special dietary requirements can be catered for if advanced notice is given.
• We do not accept pets, guide dogs are permitted.
• We do not cater for hen or stag parties.
• Walkers and cyclists are welcome.
• We are open all year round.

Keats Cottage is rated by the A.A. as Four Star Guest Accommodation with an extra Quality symbol being awarded for food.

Keats Cottage is rated Five Stars for Food Safety and Hygiene by the Isle of Wight Environmental Heath.

Booking

A 25% deposit will be required to secure your booking. We accept all major credit and debit cards and cheques.

At the time of booking we will also offer help with ferries and information on theatre shows or local events you may wish to book prior to your arrival

If you have any special requirements please inform us at the time of booking so that we can make your stay with us as comfortable as possible.

All bookings will be confirmed in writing as well as by email where possible.

Maps and directions from ferry terminals will be provided with your booking conformation.

Checking in and out

Guests may check in from 9.30am, however, rooms may not be available until 11.30am. If you need to wait for your room, tea and coffee will be provided in the bar or customers lounge. Last check in is 11.00pm. Earlier or later check in times can be arranged prior to your visit. A standard check in card will need to be completed upon arrival. Where possible guests will be shown to their rooms and assisted with luggage.

Parking is available in the large Vernon Meadow car park approx. 40m from the hotel. Parking is free from 6pm – 9am. We will refund parking charges from 9am – 11am and from 5pm – 6pm for this car park when they are incurred by our guests.

Rooms will need to be vacated by 10.30am on the morning of your last day. We will offer storage of your luggage if your ferry is sailing late. All monies outstanding will need to be settled upon checking out.

Cancellation Policy

A 25% non refundable deposit is required to secure your hotel booking. The balance of the booking will need to be paid two weeks before your stay.

If you cancel your stay more than 14 days before the date of your booking all monies except the 25% deposit will be refunded.

Cancellations made within 14 days of the date of your booking will not be refunded. A refund of £5.00 per day will be given in lieu of breakfasts not taken.

If the room is re let for the cancelled period, a full refund, excluding deposit, will be given.

Policies for loss, damage etc.

Keats Cottage accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to guests property unless negligence on our part is evident. All guests are expected to take such security measures as would seem reasonable to protect their own and other guests property.

Reparation will be sought for loss of, or wanton damage to, the property of Keats Cottage from those responsible.

Keats Cottage is totally non smoking. Activation of the fire alarm due to smoking will incur a £20 charge and guests may be asked to leave. In this instance, no monies will be refunded.
